Registered Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site: Staff of Volunteer tax preparers are IRS trained, tested, and certified to help people who qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit program receive the tax credits they deserve. THIS IS A FREE SERVICE. You must bring a copy of your previous year's return, all financial statements pertaining to tax year 2019, your social security card, and a picture ID. RSVP links adults ages 55 and above with volunteer opportunities including income tax preparation for low income community members.

Eligibility
Earned $567000 or less in 2021 To qualify for Property Tax Relief Credit (please note it is total household size and total household income): An individual must be (all of the qualifiers below) - Elderly or disabled - Receive Social Security Benefits - Lived in RI all of 2021 - Lived in an apartment or home subject to property tax. The person can receive up to $365.
