Domestic Violence Hotlines | Blackstone Valley Advocacy Center
24 hour helpline provided for individuals in crisis. Telephone calls range from seeking to escape a domestic violence situation to support and advocacy. Victims of Crime Helpline BVAC, in collaboration with Day One and the RI Coalition Against Domestic Violence, answers the Victims of Crime Helpline. The Helpline provides telephone support as well as accompaniment to hospitals and police departments.

Blackstone Valley Advocacy Center has been providing services to victims of domestic violence in the Blackstone Valley area for over two decades. It is their voices, their struggles and their experiences which guide the Center's work. Blackstone Valley Advocacy Center is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide comprehensive services to victims of domestic violence and to provide education and awareness on the issue of domestic violence. Services: Case Management Crisis Intervention Domestic violence support and education Mental health/substance abuse support Housing referrals Transitional housing Vocation/Education/Employment referrals Budgeting Referrals are made according to need of shelter guest Spanish speaking staff available Important Policies: Curfew: 8:00PM unless employment is verified Drug/Alcohol free environment Children must be supervised at all times Toiletries and clothing can be provided to shelter guests as needed and are limited No transportation available Non-smoking facility
